Raising The Village threw an Ugly Sweater Party to get into the holiday spirit! Here’s a look at what they wore, why they wore it and what it says about them!
My ugly sweater isn’t ugly at all. It’s because I’m entering the demographic that appreciates thick wool, patterns and landscapes on our attire. And proud of it.
My ugly sweater is so obvious. How obvious? Well aside from the candy canes and the sheer prevalence of Santa’s beard we’ve got Noel written on it just in case the whole Christmas theme went over your head.
This sweater dances the fine line of ugly and hipster chic. No, who am I kidding, it’s a pretty cool sweater. And no, you can’t have it.
My sweater has pom poms on it; it has sequins and glitter and lots of bright colours, joyful snowmen and prancing reindeer – hey man, it even lights up! But my sweater also smells like someone’s granny; it is itchy, and may or may not have fleas in it. It definitely has a soup stain. The point is, my sweater is a little bit of everything, a jack-of-all-trades of ugly sweaters, which, in an ugly-sweater kind of way is just like me (minus the fleas, I hope).
This sweater is pure rock ‘n roll. I’m thinking lead singer of a global rock band. I’m going to wear this. All the time.
What does my ugly sweater say about me? Clearly it screams glamour and fashion, undoubtedly indicating that I’ve got more style than most of the cardigan-loving folk out there! I really think that the midnight blue colour really brings out my eyes, while the intricate holiday detailing really captures my fun, carefree spirit. Sure some may say that my sweater is far too large and way too loud – but that just matches my personality! Plus, the XXL hug I receive every time I put it on only parallels the warmth I try to show the world around me 🙂
I’m redfining the ugly sweater. I’m bringing snowmen to the realm of the classy and sophisticated.
Now it’s your turn! Raising The Village is inviting you to throw your own ugly sweater party in the name of holiday giving and spreading the good will on an international level.
